Jupiter FL's most unique community
Abacoa,
Jupiter Florida
The early Florida
explorer, Ponce de Leon, wrote of a place on the East Coast of
Florida where his explorers and North American Natives first met
in peace in 1513 - he called that place "Abacoa."
Jupiter's most unique community, Abacoa, is located within the town
of Jupiter just 3 miles to the beaches.
Jupiter is known for its natural beauty with preserved beaches and
boating and fishing on the Loxahatchee River, Intracoastal Waterway
and the Atlantic Ocean.
Abacoa is a 2,055-acre
master-planned, mixed use community, designed around the concepts
and principles of traditional neighborhood development. It's a place
to live, work, play, exercise, shop, and socialize. Within Abacoa a
number of neighborhoods, two college campuses, three public
schools, a spring training baseball stadium, a golf course, a main
street style Town Center, community commercial centers and a
workplace campus. Interspersed throughout the community are the
greenways, open spaces that serve as preservation areas, which also
define the different neighborhoods. Linking much of Abacoa is an
element that has all but disappeared from the American
landscape...tree-lined streets with sidewalks on both sides,
creating a beautiful and rhythmic neighborhood streetscape. The
architecture of Abacoa builds a sense of history into each home. The
designs draw from the past but offer the open, airy flow of Florida
living.
Abacoa is home to the Roger Dean Stadium, training site for the
Florida Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals as well as the Jupiter
Hammerheads and Palm Beach Cardinals, the Florida Atlantic
University's North Campus and prestigious Honors College, Scripps
Research Institute, a vibrant Town Center and an 18-hole
championship golf course with clubhouse.
